Welcome to the art and story of our game prototype, Hannarchy.
It is a student project done in 1 year along classes.
Hannarchy is a third-person action-adventure piloting game where you play as the daredevil Hannah.
It takes place in a space station from a parallel universe where wealthy, opulent Toad-Men enforce their laws upon the poor, emaciated Mosquito-Men.
We chose to base our concepts on animals to create original designs. The mosquitoes represent the people — seen by the rich class as an insignificant, invasive, and dangerous species.
In contrast, the ruling class is inspired by one of the mosquito’s predators: the toad. We wanted a slimy, opulent, and revolting caricature for our villains.
For the artistic direction, we aimed to emphasize chaos through patched-up, twisted structures, a subversive attitude with a punk aesthetic, and a sense of fun with bold, contrasting colors between environments and lighting effects.
There are any more concepts and other work to see for this project but I am mainly presenting here what work I have done.
